Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made with Simply BLS for Basic Life Support (BLS).
By making a booking with Simply BLS, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings
A booking is confirmed once Simply BLS has received the required booking information and, where applicable, payment or an agreed purchase order.
Places on courses are subject to availability.
For group or workplace bookings, the person making the booking confirms that they are authorised to make the booking on behalf of the organisation.
2. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
Simply BLS reserves the right to require payment in full before training takes place.
For business or organisational bookings, invoices must be paid within the agreed payment period
Failure to make payment within the agreed period may result in the booking being cancelled or the training date being unavailable.
3. Cancellation by the customer
We understand that circumstances can change. Cancellation charges are applied according to the amount of notice provided.
Cancellation charges
- 7 days or more before training: No charge
- 5–6 days before training: 25% of the booking fee
- 2–4 days before training: 50% of the booking fee
- On the day of training: 100% of the booking fee
Cancellation requests must be made by contacting Simply BLS as soon as possible.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be made using the original payment method.
4. Rescheduling
Customers may request to move their booking to an alternative date.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
Where insufficient notice is provided, the cancellation charges above may apply.
Simply BLS may, at its discretion, waive or reduce a cancellation charge where there are exceptional circumstances.
5. Cancellation or postponement by Simply BLS
In exceptional circumstances, Simply BLS may need to cancel or postpone a course.
Where this happens, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and will offer an alternative training date or a refund of payments made for the affected booking.
Simply BLS will not be responsible for additional costs incurred by the customer as a result of a cancelled or postponed course, except where required by law.
6. Attendance
Participants are expected to arrive at the agreed location at the scheduled time.
Late arrival may result in a participant being unable to complete the course, particularly where important practical or assessment elements have already taken place.
Where a participant is unable to complete the required training because of late arrival, the booking may be treated as a cancellation and the applicable cancellation charge may apply.
7. Participant suitability and participation
Participants are responsible for informing Simply BLS before training if they have any relevant accessibility requirements or require reasonable adjustments to enable them to participate.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate participants wherever possible.
BLS training may include practical activities such as chest compressions, rescue breaths, recovery positions and the use of training equipment.
Participants should participate only to the extent that they are physically able to do so safely.
Where a participant cannot safely undertake a practical element, Simply BLS will discuss the available options with them.
8. Course completion and certification
Certificates if attendance will be issued within 48 hours of attending the training session. Attendees need to be present for the entirety of the course to receive certification.
Simply BLS cannot guarantee certification where a participant does not attend the full training.
Certificates may be issued electronically or in another format specified at the time of booking.
9. Training materials
Any training materials provided by Simply BLS are intended for the participant's personal or organisational use.
Materials must not be copied, reproduced, sold, distributed or commercially reused without prior written permission from Simply BLS, unless permitted by law.
10. Training content
Training is provided for educational purposes and is intended to support participants in responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Training does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Course content may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in recognised guidance, training requirements or best practice. Current guidance can be found online via the resuscitation council.
11. Photography, video and recording
Participants must not photograph, video or record training sessions, other participants or training materials without prior permission from Simply BLS and the individuals concerned.
Where Simply BLS wishes to take photographs or recordings for promotional purposes, appropriate permission will be obtained where required.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
14. Unexpected circumstances
Simply BLS will not be liable for failure or delay in providing training where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include serious illness, extreme weather, transport disruption, fire, power failure, government restrictions or other circumstances that make it unsafe or impractical to provide the training.
Where possible, an alternative training date will be offered or refund provided.
15. Complaints
